Emory Track & Field Set to Host Crossplex Invitational on Sunday

The Emory University Track and Field programs will host the seventh-annual Emory Crossplex Invitational in Birmingham, Alabama on Sunday, January 20th.

Track events are set to begin at 9:30 am CST with the 5000m Run. The field events will also kick off at 9:30 am CST with the men's weight throw with the women to follow. Action will continue all through the day and will conclude with the men's and women's 4x400m Relay 5000m Run at 7:20 pm CST.

31 schools are set to send at least one student-athlete to compete alongside the Eagles on Sunday: Alabama-Huntsville, Alabama State, Alcorn State, Arkansas Baptist, Avila, Berry, Bethel (Tenn.), Birmingham-Southern, Christian Bros., Clayton State, Cumberland (Tenn.), Dalton State, Flagler, Harding, Hinds CC, Jackson State, Lee, Life, Lincoln Memorial, Mercer, Montevallo, Piedmont, Reinhardt, Rhodes, Shorter, Southern, Southeastern, Tennessee Wesleyan, Troy, Voorhees, West Georgia.

At last year's meet, the Eagle women placed second out of 25 schools with 68 points while the men's team came in fifth overall out of 21 schools with 48 points.
