Osei, Bland Win Conference Titles on Day Two as Women's Track & Field Finish Third

The Emory University Women's Track and Field team recorded two event titles and eight All-Conference finishes on Sunday as the 2019 UAA Indoor Championships came to a close in Waltham, MA. The Eagles finished third as team, scoring a total of 121 points.

Seniors Dani Bland and Dilys Osei led the Eagles on the afternoon, capturing event championships in the 60m and 200m Dashes. Bland successfully defended her 60m crown as she edged out sophomore Rebekah Bondi by .12 seconds. In the 200m, Osei and Bland were matched up in a race that came down to a photo finish with Osei edging her teammate ever so slightly by .07 seconds.

To go along with her win in the 200m, Osei took silver in the 60m Hurdles with a finals time of 8.92. Adding a second place finish for the Eagles on Sunday was freshman Hannah Lansberry in the 400m, turning in a personal best time of 59.10.

Junior Greta Wilker highlighted the Eagles in the field events as she took bronze in the shot put with a mark of 12.24m.

Emory will send athletes to both Roanoke and Tufts in final chance meets next weekend before setting its sights on the NCAA Indoor Championships from March 8th-9th in Boston, MA.
