Dilys Osei and Dani Bland Win Events at Dr. Keeler Invitational

The Emory University track and field teams were in action this past Thursday and Friday competing at the Dr. Keeler Invitational at North Central College in Naperville, IL. There was no team scoring at the meet.

Seniors Dani Bland and Dilys Osei notched event wins for the Eagles at the meet with Bland winning the 100m Dash with a time of 12.00 and Osei posting a time of 1:01.26 to win the 400m Hurdles. The duo added a fifth place showing along with sophomores Michelle Rosenblum and Rebekah Bondi in the 4x100m Relay, finishing in a time of 47.43. Bland would also turn in a seventh place effort in the 200m at 25.64 and in the 100m, Bondi placed fifth at 12.23.

Sophomore Hannah Lansberry recorded a top-five finish of her own as she came in fourth in the 400m Dash with a time of 58.66 while senior Paris Wagner and sophomore Taylor Robinson each registered top-10 finishes in field events for the Eagles. Wagner came in seventh in the hammer throw at 48.53m and in the javelin, Robinson recorded a throw of 36.42m to place eighth.

For the men, freshmen Brett Henshey and Patrick Crockett highlighted the Eagles with Henshey posting a jump of 2.02m to place third in the high jump and in the javelin, Crockett was eighth at 49.90m.

Sophomore Thomas Perretta finished 22nd at 1:54.03 with freshman Jon Marcus coming in 33rd at 1:56.81 in the 800m Run. Sophomore Jack Whetstone competing in a pair of distance events, recording times of 4:04.36 in the 1500m and 15:08.30 in the 5000m Run.
