Emory Track & Field Concludes Competition at Georgia Tech Invitational

The Emory University track and field teams wrapped up competition at the Georgia Tech Invitational Saturday afternoon.

On the women’s side, Isabel Saridakis shined for the Eagles as she won the pole vault event with a season best mark of 3.70m. Ticia King turned in a personal best performance in the event as well, placing third with a height of 3.40m.

Over on the track, the Emory women saw season best times registered in five different events including both relays. In the 4x100m, Michelle Rosenblum, Jessica Barbarosh, Hannah Lansberry and Rebekah Bondi ran the second fastest time in Division III so far this season at 47.65 and in the 4x400m, Lansberry, Rosenblum, Lauren Cunild and Claire Evans shaved almost seven seconds off their best seasonal time, taking fifth on the afternoon at 4:00.46.

Lansberry, Evans and Bondi also recorded season best marks in individual events with Lansberry posting a 58.89 in the 400m Dash, Evans running a 1:06.26 in the 400m Hurdles and Bondi clocking in at 25.50 in the 200m Dash.

For the men’s team, Brett Henshey highlighted four different season best times with his 2.05m mark in the high jump, the seventh-best height in Division III so far in 2021. On the track, Liam Fost returned with a season best time in the 400m Dash, finishing second in the event at 48.45. In the 800m Run, Thomas Perretta ran a 1:53.82 to finish 14th, representing a season best time for the team in the event.

The Emory men also saw season best times ran in both relay events with Fost, JonCarlo Migaly, Connor Sweeney and Thomas Davis clocking a 42.92 in the 4x100m and in the 4x400m, Fost, Perretta, Davis and Spencer Watry took second in the event with their time of 3:20.86.
