Senior Sarah Maher helped the Emory volleyball team to a 2-1 record at the Wid Guisler Invitational.
Maher played in all 12 of the team's sets and ranked second on the club in hitting percentage (.412), kills (2.67 kps) and blocks (0.75 bps).  

She recorded double-figure kills in all three matches and hit .400 or higher in two contests.  In a five-set battle vs. No. 15 Eastern, she tied for second on the team with 11 terminations, hit .455 (11-1--22) and topped all players with a career-high nine (3-6) total blocks, representing the high-water mark by and Emory player this season.  She closed out the weekend with 10 successful attack attempts and 10 digs in a 3-1 triumph over No. 10-ranked Juniata, her sixth double-double of the year.

So far this year, Maher has appeared  in 91 of  the Eagles' 99 sets and is hitting .285 (211-59--534), good for the No. 8 spot on the UAA ladder, while averaging 2.32 kills, 2.58 digs and 0.31 blocks per set.
