Sophomore Morgan McKnight was named MVP of the Emory Volleyball National Classic after sparking the No. 4-ranked Eagles to a pair of wins over nationally ranked foes.
The 5-foot-10 McKnight averaged a team-leading 4.14 kills per set and hit .289 (29-7--76) as Emory topped No. 8 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and No. 6 Juniata.
In a 3-1 decision over the Athenas of CMS, McKnight tied for match honors with a career-high tying 15 terminations while adding a pair of block assists. She followed that performance by pacing all performers with 14 terminations and a .462 hitting percentage (14-2--26) in a 3-0 triumph against Juniata.
McKnight has registered double-figure kills in eight of Emory's nine matches this year.
