Senior setter Mady Arles was named the Most Outstanding Player of the NCAA D-III Mount Berry Regional after helping the Eagles to a championship performance.

Arles averaged 13.78 assists and 0.78 blocks over nine sets of play in helping Emory sweep all three of its opponents. In addition, she led the team with 10 service aces.

After dishing out 36 assists and three service aces against Meredith College in the quarterfinals, Arles doled out 42 assists and came up with a match-high five aces in a 25-21, 25-23, 27-25, verdict over No. 4 Colorado College in the semifinals. She closed out the weekend with a brilliant effort vs. No. 22 Mary Hardin-Baylor, coming up with 46 assists, tying her second-highest career total, two aces and three block assists. Her play at running the Emory offense helped the Eagles hit .306 over the three contests.

Emory, 27-6 on the year, will battle Ithaca in the quarterfinal round of the NCAA D-III Championships on Thursday (Nov. 15).
