Senior outside hitter Karissa Dzurik helped the No. 8-ranked Eagles to a 5-0 record at the Emory Volleyball National Tournament.

The 5-foot-11 Dzurik averaged a team-high 3.25 kills, 0.81 digs and 0.75 blocks per set in helping the team raise its overall record to 7-1.

Dzurik registered three double-figure termination contests including a career-high 19 that led all players in a 3-1 victory over Whitworth. In addition, she pounded out 11 kills, second on the team, and hit .304 in Emory's 3-0 decision over No. 25 Berry. In the National Tournament opener, a sweep vs. Transylvania, she totaled a match-leading 11 successful attack attempts,  hit .476 (11-1--21) and added three block assists.

So far this year, Karissa has played in 25 of the team's 26 sets and stands second on the Eagles' stat sheet with an average of 2.96 kills per game.
