AVCA 30 Under 30 Winners
Emory University assistant volleyball coach Brianna Jones has been named as a recipient of the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) 2019 30 Under 30 Award.
The award was created in 2009 to honor up-and-coming coaching talent at all levels of the sport. To qualify, nominees had to be younger than 30 years old in 2018.
Of the thirty recipients, 11 are NCAA Division I women's coaches, six in high school/club, four in NCAA Division III and NCAA Division II, two in NCAA Division I-II Men, and one in NCAA Division III Men, Two-Year College and NAIA.
Jones, who joined Emory in March of 2017, helped guide the Eagles to the 2018 NCAA D-III Championships, the program's second-ever national crown. Emory closed out the year with an overall record of 30-6 and also brought home the University Athletic Association and the NCAA Rome, Georgia Regional titles. Over her two-year stint, Emory has amassed on overall record of 60-13.
