Junior Leah Saunders helped the No. 2-ranked Emory volleyball team to a 3-0 record at the University Athletic Association Round Robin I.

The 5-foot-8 Saunders paced the team with a 3.11 kills-per-set average, hitting .317 (28-9--60) in the process, and finished with a mark of 1.44 digs per game. In addition, she doled out five service aces (second on the squad) and recorded six block assists.

Saunders pounded out a match-high 13 kills, her fourth double-figure effort on the season, and posted an attack percentage of .579 (13-2--19) in a sweep of Brandeis, and followed that with a team-leading eight terminations (hit .400, 8-2--15) and three aces in a 3-0 triumph over Rochester. In the finale of the RR I against No. 12 Carnegie Mellon, Leah totaled seven successful attack attempts and eight digs as the Eagles prevailed, 3-0.

So far this year, Saunders is averaging 2.88 kills and 2.35 digs per set.
