The No. 6-ranked Emory volleyball team finished off a perfect week of play in the final match of its National Invitational.  The Eagles registered their 29th straight home victory and boosted their overall record to 31-3 following a 3-0 verdict (25-15, 25-20, 25-19) over the Generals who slipped to 24-6.

For the 32nd time in 34 outings, Emory finished with an advantage in hitting percentage, registering a .321 mark (47-11—112) compared to W&L's' .163 (29-13—98).  The effort against the Generals represented the 15th time during the campaign that the Eagles had recorded an attack percentage of .300 or better.  Senior Leah Jacobs tied for match honors with 14 kills, her 22nd contest of the season with double figures, while senior Cat McGrath and sophomore Jessica Holler each chipped in 10 terminations, with Holler hitting at a blistering .562 clip (10-1—16).

Emory would finish the 2014 season with an overall record of 39-4 and advanced to the finals of the NCAA D-III Championships.
