Junior Gabrielle Stravach helped the Emory women's cross country team to a second-place finish out of 17 teams at the Furman Classic.

Competing in the non-Division I portion of the meet, Stravach was the first Eagle and third runner overall in the 156-runner field to cross the finish line, clocking a personal-best 6K time of 22:07.  Her effort helped Emory place three runners among the top 10 overall finishers.

Emory returns to action on Sept. 17 when it competes at the Falcon Classic at Montevallo University.
