Emory Athletics and Recreation is excited to be searching for five graduate assistants for the 2023-2024 academic year. Emory Graduate Assistant Application 2023-2024
ATHLETIC EQUIPMENT AND OPERATIONS GRADUATE ASSISTANT
The Graduate Assistant will report to the Coordinator of Athletic Equipment & Facility Operations. This position is at the Woodruff Physical Education Center (WPEC). The primary responsibility of this position is managing the student staff of the building and the care of varsity uniforms and equipment for Emory’s 19 intercollegiate teams that compete at the highest level in Division III.
In addition, the Graduate Assistant will work with the student staff, overseeing scheduling and coverage needs. Weekend work will be required at peak times during the athletic season (Late August – November; January – April). The position averages 20 hours per week. The schedule will vary depending on week to week and by season.
INTRAMURAL AND CLUB SPORTS GRADUATE ASSISTANT
The Graduate Assistant for Intramural & Club Sports, under the direction of the Coordinator for Intramural & Club Sports, has the responsibility of the coordination and implementation of a comprehensive Intramural & Club Sports program during the academic year. Some night and weekend coverage will be necessary for special events and programs.
OPERATIONS AND FACILITIES GRADUATE ASSISTANT
The primary function of the Operations and Facilities Graduate Assistant at the Student Activity and Academic Center (SAAC) is to coordinate front desk operations, assist with student staff training and scheduling, and customer service. The Operations and Facilities Graduate Assistant will plan, organize and execute day-to-day operation duties for the SAAC.
SPORTS INFORMATION GRADUATE ASSISTANT
Emory University, a member of the University Athletic Association and sponsor of 19 Division III sports, is seeking applications for a graduate assistant position for the 2023-24 academic year in the area of Athletic Communications and Sports Information.
STUDENT ATHLETE DEVELOPMENT GRADUATE ASSISTANT
The Eagle Edge focuses on the holistic development of our student-athletes through programs, services, and training that address academic achievement, health and performance, leadership, community service, and life skills.
The graduate assistant will work with the Eagle Edge student-athlete development program throughout the appointment. The graduate assistant will perform assigned duties and projects in various areas of the Eagle Edge program.
