The Emory Women’s team, currently ranked No.-4 in the latest USTFCCCA national poll – the highest ever in program history, enters the outdoor championships with high hopes after finishing third at the 2017 meet. The Eagles return eight All-UAA performers from last year’s squad and head into the meet with 26 marks that rank among the top-six in their respective events on the UAA performance list including seven top seeds.

Junior Dani Bland owns the top seed time in both the 100m (11.89) and 200m (24.66) dashes with senior Erica Goldman claiming the top spot in the 400m Dash (56.13) and classmate Gabrielle Stravach entering as the favorite in the 1500m Run (4:28.95). Fellow senior Kora Dreffs also owns the top seed in the shot put at 11.43m.

The Eagles will also be positioned first in both sprint relays with Bland, Goldman, junior Dilys Osei and freshman Rebekah Bondi in the 4x100m (47.18) and Bland, Goldman, Osei and sophomore Kaitlyn Leonard in the 4x400m (3:44.64).

The Emory men’s team looks to improve upon its fifth place finish from last year and return three All-UAA performers including two conference champions. The Eagles head into the meet with 16 marks that are in the top-six in their respective events on the UAA performance list including four top seeds.

Seniors Benjamin Rogin and Charlie Hu look to defend their UAA titles this weekend with Rogin aiming for a three-peat in the 110m Hurdles and Hu trying for his second consecutive triple jump win.
