The Eagles Weekly Preview for October 28th – November 3rd. This preview is to serve as a weekly snapshot of all upcoming events for Emory athletic events for the coming week.

 

Golf

The No.-3 ranked men’s golf team wraps up its fall season with the two-day O'Briant-Jensen Memorial in Greensboro, NC. Seven of the top 11 ranked Division III programs make up the 22-team field at this year’s tournament. Hitting the links at the Sedgefield Dye Course will be seniors Matt Organisak and Sam Galloway, junior Eric Yiu, and sophomores Logan Ryan and Max Schwartz.

Volleyball

The No.-3 ranked volleyball team, coming off a 3-0 weekend at its home invitational including a thrilling five-set comeback win over No.-24 Susquehanna to improve to 23-2, closes out the regular season on Friday and Saturday with its national home invitational. This year’s crop of teams visiting Atlanta features No.-10 Berry College, Wittenberg, Randolph-Macon, Birmingham-Southern and Washington & Lee University.

Women’s Soccer

The women’s soccer team (10-4, 2-2 UAA), fresh off of a dominating 10-0 performance over Huntingdon College on Sunday, returns to the University Athletic Association slate this weekend as the Eagles host Brandeis University (10-5, 1-3 UAA) and New York University (10-5, 1-3 UAA) at the WoodPEC. Emory enters the week receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches national ranking, ranked 22nd in the D3Soccer.com top-25 and were ranked fourth in the first edition of the NCAA Regional Rankings released on October 23rd.

Men’s Soccer

The men’s soccer team (8-5-2, 1-2-1 UAA) looks to follow up its 5-0 whitewashing of Piedmont College Sunday night as the Eagles entertain Brandeis University (9-3-4, 2-1-1 UAA) and New York University (7-5-1, 3-1 UAA) this weekend in Atlanta. The Eagles currently sit fifth in the UAA standings with three games remaining in the regular season.

Cross Country

The nationally ranked men’s and women’s cross country teams travel to Pittsburgh this Saturday for the 33rd annual UAA Championships which will be held at Schenley Park. The Eagles look to build off last year’s finishes where the men took fourth while the women placed fifth. The Emory men are currently positioned 22nd in the latest USTFCCCA Coaches Poll with women seated 34th nationally.
