The Eagles Weekly Preview for November 18th – 24th. This preview is to serve as a weekly snapshot of all upcoming events for Emory athletic events for the coming week.

Men’s Basketball

The No.-6 ranked men’s basketball squad opens the week of events with the first of three games across a seven-day span. The Eagles, 2-0 and averaging 94.0 points per game, host Sewanee Wednesday night before an all-Atlanta matchup on Saturday when Oglethorpe University visits the Woodruff PE Center.

Volleyball

The Eagles (32-2) are one of eight remaining teams in the NCAA Division III volleyball field and travel to Cedar Rapids, Iowa looking to defend their national crown. Emory, seeded No.-1 in the national quarterfinals, will take on No.-8 Clarkson University (28-5) at 1:30 PM EST Thursday afternoon in the Elite Eight with the winner to advance to face either No.-4 Carthage College or No.-5 Bowdoin University in the national semifinals Friday evening.

Women’s Basketball

The women’s basketball team, off to a 3-0 start and outscoring opponents by an average of 19.3 points per game, open a four-game road swing with a pair of contests in California on Friday and Saturday. The Eagles, led by senior Erin Lindahl’s 13.0 PPG, battle Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Friday night at 10:00 PM EST before taking on the Sagehens of Pomona-Pitzer at 6:00 PM EST on Saturday.

Cross Country

The men’s and women’s cross country teams are headed to the NCAA Division III Championships in Louisville, KY after impressive performances at the South/Southeast Regional Championships. On the men’s side, junior Jack Whetstone led the Eagles to their first regional title since 2015 as he finished first out of the field of 239 with his time of 24:49. For the women, five runners earned All-Region acclaim as the team finished second at the meet.
