Drew Williams Named Head Strength and Conditioning Coach

Emory University Athletics Director Keiko Price has announced the appointment of Drew Williams to Head Strength and Conditioning Coach.

Williams had been Emory’s Interim Head Strength and Conditioning Coach since October of 2020 after serving as an assistant starting in May of 2018.

“We are extremely pleased to elevate Drew to Head Strength and Conditioning,” stated Senior Athletic Director/Senior Woman Administrator Joyce Jaleel. “Drew’s hard work and dedication in helping our student-athletes compete and be successful at a high level certainly has played a vital role in our program’s success.  “His ability to motivate and develop solid relationships are key elements in making him effective in his role.”

Williams originally joined the Emory strength and conditioning staff as a graduate assistant coach in the fall of 2016 while obtaining his Master's Degree in Sports Administration from Georgia State University.

Drew received his Bachelor’s Degree in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Central Florida. He started at UCF as an intern/volunteer and quickly became a part-time Strength and Conditioning Assistant Coach, working with football, track and field, cross country, rowing and cheer.

Williams is CSCS, CPR and AED certified.
