Emory University placed 82 student-athletes on the University Athletic Association Fall All-Academic Team which was announced earlier this fall by the league office. 858 student-athletes in total from the eight association schools were recognized on the All-Academic team.
To be named to the UAA Fall All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete at least one full year of college study and carry a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.30.
The 3.30 GPA is the same academic standard used as a qualifying threshold by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) for the nomination of Academic All-America candidates in all sports.
The 82 Eagles recognized were spread out over five sports that compete traditionally in the fall with men's soccer leading the way with 24 selections.
