Emory University placed 118 student-athletes on the University Athletic Association Winter All-Academic Team which was announced early on Monday, March 21st. 913 student-athletes in total from eight association schools were recognized on the All-Academic team.
To be named to the UAA Winter All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete at least one full year of college study and carry a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.30.
The 3.30 GPA is the same academic standard used as a qualifying threshold by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) for the nomination of Academic All-America candidates in all sports.
The 118 Eagles recognized were spread out over six sports that compete traditionally in the winter with men's swimming & diving leading the way with 30 selections.
