Jackson Price & Hope Jackson Named UAA Athletes of the Week

Emory University track & field team members Jackson Price and Hope Jackson were selected as the University Athletic Association Athletes of the Week Monday afternoon by the conference office.

This marks the second career honor for Price with both coming during the outdoor season as well as the first-ever weekly honor for Jackson.

Price continued his breakout season with impressive performances in the 4x100m relay and the 200m dash at the Torrin Lawrence Memorial Invite. As part of the Eagles 4x100 team, Price helped the team finish in a time of 41.34 which was good for a second place finish at the meet and marks the fourth fastest time in program history. Price also competed in the 200m dash where he crossed the finish line in 21.59 seconds which was the top time of all Division III athletes in the event.

Competing at the Torrin Lawrence Memorial Invite, Jackson turned in another strong performance in the discus throw hitting a distance of 42.13m to place fifth. Jackson's mark is the second best in program history and also sits as the 25th best in the nation this season according to TFRRS.

The Eagles look to compete again on May 7th at the Tennessee Challenge in one of the final opportunities to earn spots at the NCAA Championships later this month.
