Ben Reynolds was appointed Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Emory University in June of 2016. Reynolds joined the staff as the graduate assistant in 2013 before later becoming the Interim Head Strength and Conditioning Coach in December of 2015.

While overseeing the performance training for the entire Emory Athletics Department, Ben’s primary focus is designing and implementing programs for baseball, men’s basketball, men’s golf, women’s soccer, women’s tennis, women’s volleyball, and the track and field team.

Prior to Emory, Reynolds was an intern/volunteer coach at the University of South Carolina, working with football, track and field, and men’s soccer from August 2012 to June 2013.

A native of Chatham, Virginia, Reynolds began his career in strength and conditioning as an intern at James Madison University during the summer of 2012, working with men’s and women’s basketball as well as volleyball.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from James Madison in 2012 and obtained his master’s degree in Sports Administration from Georgia State University in the spring of 2016.

His professional certifications include the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association’s (CSCCA) strength and conditioning coach certified (SCCC) as well as the USA Weightlifting (USAW) sports performance coach. He is also a certified First Aid CPR/AED.
