Haley Carpenter joined the Department of Athletics as the Coordinator for Memberships and External Operations in September of 2019.

Haley is responsible for the oversight of memberships and operations at the George W. Woodruff Physical Education Center (WPEC) and assisting with Student Activity and Academic Center (SAAC). This position includes all aspects of our internal and external operations with our summer camps. Haley will work with our campus partners for large-scale, campus wide events at the WPEC and the SAAC. 

Haley comes to Emory from Georgia State University, where she was the Coordinator of the Indian Creek Recreation Area.  In that role, she managed the master reservation schedule for staff, equipment and facility needs. She managed all events that occurred, including reservation requests, event set-up, access for groups and catering, audio/visual equipment, clean-up, and collection of payment and fees. 

Prior to her time at Georgia State University, Haley served as the Coordinator for Business and Member Services at the Mississippi University for Women, located in Columbus Mississippi.  During her four years at The W, Haley managed all aspects of Campus Recreation memberships and member services, including facilitating locker and towel rental services, training Membership Office student personnel, and developing and evaluating member policies and procedures.

Haley is certified as an American Red Cross CPR/AED Instructor and a member of the National Intramural and Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA).

A native of Reform, Alabama, Haley earned a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from the University of Alabama.
