Emory

Michael Patrick joined the Emory Athletics Department as Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing and Events in September of 2017.

Patrick came to Emory after serving as the Assistant Athletic Director at Spring Hill College (SHC) in Mobile, Alabama.  His primary duties at SHC included game operations for all 16 NCAA sports and four club sport programs, direct supervision of over 75 students working within the athletics and recreation departments, coordinating all fundraising events and serving as a direct liaison to multiple departments on campus. 

Prior to his tenure at Spring Hill, Michael was the Assistant Director of Championships for the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) from 2013 through 2015.  Among his responsibilities in that capacity were the managing of all championships-related activities, negotiating, coordinating and managing awards for all championships constituents, assisting with conference scheduling, budget reviews, championship oversight and acting as the liaison between the SAA Commissioner and the athletic directors of the eight member schools within the conference.

From 2009 through 2012, Patrick was the Director of Soccer Operations at Oglethorpe University. He served as the program's recruiting coordinator, and provided a number of other duties including scheduling, budget, scouting reports and game-day operations.  In addition, he has been a National Team Scout and consultant for the US Soccer Development Academy since 2008. 

He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of West Florida in Theatre Arts.  While at UWF, he distinguished himself athletically as a member of the soccer program where he received district and regional accolades.

Michael's family includes his wife, Beth and daughter, Elena.
