Nick Chambers Named to Academic All-District Baseball Team

Emory University senior Nick Chambers has been named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District Baseball team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced on Thursday afternoon.

The CoSIDA Academic All-District team presented by Google Cloud recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution.

Chambers, who just wrapped up his baseball career, compiled a 3.62 grade point average as Real Estate and Finance major and earlier this week was named to his second consecutive All-University Athletic Association Second Team. As a senior, Chambers made 36 starts and posted a .315 batting average. He collected a career-high 25 RBI while adding eight doubles, one triple and stole nine bases.

Chambers will now be placed on the national ballot for the Academic All-America Team which will be announced on Tuesday, June 5th.
