Freshman Jack Brodsky went 2-0 in his two appearances against Case Western Reserve, tossing 4.2 shutout frames to go along with seven strikeouts. Brodsky pitched 1.1 perfect innings in his first outing on Friday, striking out two Spartans. He returned to the mound in the finale on Saturday, spinning 3.1 scoreless, scattering three hits and one walk while striking out five, to record his team-leading sixth win of 2019.
