The Emory University Baseball team pushed its season-long winning streak to five games on Tuesday, picking up a key south regional victory by defeating Birmingham-Southern College, 7-3, at Chappell Park in Atlanta. GA.

Junior Richard Brereton collected his fourth three-hit game of the last five contests, going 3-for-5 with two runs, one RBI and three stolen bases. He also returned to the mound for the first time in almost a month, recording the final two outs of the contest and escaping a bases loaded situation as he struck out BSC's Patrick Munns to end the game.

Freshman Zeke Diamond went 2-for-4 with a run-scoring triple in the second and was hit by a pitch. Senior Jackson Grayson added two hits and drove in a run in the victory.

Freshman Bryant Wise tossed a career-best 4.2 innings in his second start of the year, allowing two runs on three hits and three walks while striking out two. Freshman Joey Bock picked up another win out of the pen, tossing one scoreless inning in relief of Wise. Sophomore Jack Moore turned in 2.2 innings of one-run ball in his first relief outing of the year, giving up a single run on two hits and struck out four.

Emory begins its three-game series with Huntingdon at 7:00 PM on Friday night and will return to Chappell Park for the series final on Sunday, beginning at 2:00 PM.
