Senior Richard Brereton was a focal point in Emory's 1-1 opening weekend against Virginia Wesleyan and #4 BSC. Brereton totaled a team-high four hits, batting .571 across the two games and leading the Eagles with three RBI and three stolen bases. The Darien, CT native was also solid in his season debut on the mound on Friday, tossing 5.1 scoreless innings as he recorded his first win of the year. Brereton struck out five, walked three and scattered three hits and two hit-by-pitches.
