Emory University junior Aaron Mishoulam was named the University Athletic Association Pitcher of the Week as announced Monday afternoon. It is the first career weekly honor for the right-hander.
Mishoulam had three scoreless outings helping the Eagles to a 4-1 week including a four-game sweep of Brandeis to clinch a share of the UAA crown. He picked up two saves against the Judges, retiring all nine batters he faced and struck out five.
For the season, Mishoulam struck out 25 batters to go along with a 3.72 earned run average across 19.1 innings. He went 0-1 in his 14 appearances and had a team-leading four saves.
The Eagles concluded the regular season with 11 straight UAA wins, going 11-2 overall during the month of April, and finished with a record of 25-13. Emory will now await to find out if they'll be playing in the postseason when the NCAA tournament bracket is released on May 16th.
