Tyler McLoughlin Selected to D3Baseball.com & ABCA All-America Teams

Emory University baseball standout Tyler McLoughlin concluded his Eagles career with two more major awards this week as he was named to the D3Baseball.com and American Baseball Coaches Association All-America Teams on Wednesday and Thursday.

McLoughlin was named to the D3Baseball.com All-America Second Team Wednesday morning prior to earning Third Team honors by the ABCA Thursday night. He becomes just the third player in program history to be named an All-American by both organizations, joining Jason Glushon (2007) and Brett Lake (2014). McLoughlin is the first Eagle to earn ABCA All-America honors since Lake and the first to be honored by D3Baseball.com since Billy Dimlow in 2017.

The two awards add to the already crowded mantle for the junior two-way player after McLoughlin was tabbed to the All-UAA First Team in early May and First Team All-Region by both the ABCA and D3Baseball.com earlier this week.

McLoughlin finished his Emory with 18 career home runs while batting .319 and drove in 65 runs. On the mound, he went 5-3 with seven saves across 21 appearances. He struck out 67 over 51.2 innings while pitching to a 2.79 ERA.

He plans to continue his baseball career at the University of Georgia next season.
