Sophomore Sam Galloway helped the Emory golf team to a runner-up finish out of 18 teams at the Royal Lakes-Oglethorpe Fall Invitational.
Galloway closed out the Invitational with a four-under par 140, tying for third place in the 102-player field and ranking in a fourth-place tie all-time at Emory for a two-round tournament. By virtue of his finish, Galloway earned a spot on the All-Invitational Team. On the final day of action he carded a brilliant five-under 67 that represented a career best, while tying the program's record for the fourth-best score for a round.
The Eagles posted a 36-hole score of 583, four shots behind first-place finisher Greensboro College.
