Emory Golf To Compete At Kravetz Invitational

After hosting and winning its Spring Invitational last weekend, the Emory golf team plays its final regular-season tournament this Friday and Saturday (Apr. 13-14) when it travels to Upstate New York to compete in the 19th Fred Kravetz Invitational.  The 36-hole event will be conducted on two courses, with Friday's action taking place on the 6,830-yard, par-72 Irondequoit Course before moving to the 6,723-yard, par-71 Oak Hill Country Club the following day.

Emory, ranked 3rd nationally in the most recent Division III Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll, will be one of six schools taking part in this year's Invitational. Other squads hitting the courses include host and University Athletic Association member Rochester, Ohio Wesleyan, Adrian College, two-time defending champion Franklin and Marshall and Skidmore College.

Comprising Emory's scoring contingent at the Kravetz Invitational will be Matt Organisak, Connor Yakubov, Stefano Butti, Eric Yiu and Keenan HicktonAnthony Muscato will compete as an individual.

In their most recent outing, the Eagles of head coach John Sjoberg came away with a first-place finish at the Discover DeKalb Emory Spring Invitational (Apr. 7-8) at the Smoke Rise Country Club in Stone Mountain, shooting a 36-hole score of 564, six shots better than runner-up and No. 1-ranked Huntingdon College.
