Junior Matt Organisak has been selected as the University Athletic Association Men's Golfer of the Week following his performance at the NCAA D-III Preview. The 54-hole tournament was held at the 7,190-yard, par-72 Keene Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville, Kentucky. It is the fifth time in his career that he has earned the award.
Organisak garnered all-tournament acclaim after ranking as the Eagles' top performer, while finishing runner-up in the 90-player field, with a score of one-under par 215 (72-71-72), tying the school's individual ninth-best mark for a three-round competition. His one-under score of 71 during the second round represented the 18th time during his Emory tenure that he shot par or better.
Matt's effort over the two-day competition helped the No. 2-ranked Eagles to a first-place finish out of 18 teams. Emory concluded the Preview with a team score of 866 (300-277-289), tying the program's second-best effort for a 54-hole tournament.
