Freshman Logan Ryan has been selected as the University Athletic Association Men's Golfer of the Week following his performance at the Gordin Classic (Oct. 1-2). The 54-hole tournament was held on the 7,098-yard, par-72 Columbus Country Club in Ohio.
Ryan captured all-tournament honors after pacing the Emory contingent and finishing runner-up in the 90-player field with a six-under par 210 (70-71-69), with that effort the school's third-best individual score ever for a 54-hole event. Ryan was just one shot off the pace of medalist Rob Wuethrich (69-71—69) from Illinois Wesleyan.
The Eagles registered a second-place finish out of 13 teams at the Classic, shooting a team score of eight-under 856 (286-291-279), the program's second-best mark ever for a 54-hole tournament.
