Sophomore Logan Ryan turned in an outstanding effort for the Emory men's golf team at the O'Briant-Jensen Memorial in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Ryan helped the Eagles to a first-place tie with Carnegie Mellon in the 22-team field (CMU prevailed in scorecard play - low aggregate of non-counting scores) with each squad posting a 36-hole score of seven-over par 575.
Ryan played his way to medalist honors in the 120-player field, firing a five-under par 137 (72-65) which tied the school record for the lowest score for a 36-hole tournament. Ryan's final score of 65 established a program record, bettering the previous standard of 66 held by five different players. He totaled seven birdies during his historic round.
