The Emory University men's golf team concluded play at the Golfweek DIII Invitational on Tuesday. The 54-hole tournament was played on the 6,725-yard, par-71 Raven Golf Club in Sandestin, Florida.

The Eagles finished with a final-day score of 294 to close the competition at five-over par 857, good for a fifth-place effort out of 18 teams. Illinois Wesleyan took home the top spot after carding a 15-under 837, while Huntingdon College came in second with an 846.

Senior Sam Galloway and sophomore Logan Ryan led the Emory contingent over the final 18 holes with each player shooting even-par 71. Galloway logged a team-best five birdies on the day with Ryan dialing up four.  Senior Matt Organisak was next up on the Eagles' score sheet with a 75 while sophomore Max Schwarz rounded out the team's final mark with a 77.  Junior Eric Yiu checked in with a 78.

Organisak finished the Invitational as Emory's top performer with a one-under 212 (69-68-75) which placed him in a tie for 12th place in the 90-player field. Sophomore Max Schwarz deadlocked for the No. 22 position at two-over par 215 (68-70-77) while Yiu's 218 (68-72-78) tied for 32nd.  Galloway (219) and Ryan (222) tied for 39th and 51st, respectively.

Rob Wuethrich of Illinois Wesleyan played his way to medalist honors with a glittering 12-under par 201 (64-68-68), three shots better than Huntingdon's Drew Mathers (72-68-64).

Emory returns to action, Oct. 28-29, when it competes at the O'Briant-Jensen Memorial in Greensboro, North Carolina.
