Sophomore (2021-22):

In his first year with the program, Klutznick distinguished himself in what is one of the most decorated single years for an Emory golfer in the Eagles history… Set the program record with a scoring average of 70.7 strokes per round over the course of 17 rounds played in the 2021-22 season… Was named one of five finalists for the Jack Nicklaus Award which is given to the national player of the year in each collegiate division… Named to the PING All-American First Team becoming just the fifth Eagle to earn such a distinction… Garnered All-region recognition… Member of the All-UAA First Team… First inaugural UAA Sophomore Rookie of the Year Award recipient… Competing in six tournaments in his inaugural year with the team, Klutznick placed in the top 12 in five of the six he played in and was the individual winner in two tournaments… At the NCAA Championships, Klutznick paced the team with a 298 (72-76-78-72) which saw him finish tied for 24th on the way to the Eagles finishing in fifth place at the championships… His first tournament win of the season came at the Chick-fil-A Invitational where he shot a 135 (65-70) which also set the program record for best two-round score by an individual… Klutznick’s second tournament win came at the Discover Dekalb Emory Invitational where he scored a 208 (70-72-66) which is tied for the second best three round score in program history… Competing at the Golfweek DIII Fall Invitational, Klutznick scored a 206 (75-64-67) which is the Eagles program record for a three-round score from an individual and helped him to finish second overall at the tournament… Klutznick’s second round score of 64 is the best single round score in program history and is one of his three rounds this season that he scored a 66 or below, all of which are in the top 10 best rounds in program history… Pacing the team in scoring, Klutznick registered a 143 (70-73) at the Division III Showcase which placed him in a tie for ninth overall… Also competed at the Jekyll Island Collegiate where he finished second for the Eagles, his lone tournament not pacing the team, and tied for 12th overall shooting a 212 (70-70-72)… Earned a team-high three UAA Athlete of the Week selections.
