Freshman guard Romin Williams paced the Emory men's basketball team in scoring and assists as the Eagles split two contests.

Williams averaged a 21.5 points and 6.0 assists in battles against Birmingham Southern and Hampden-Sydney. In addition, he shot 50 percent (13-26) from the floor and 88.2 percent (15-17) from the charity stripe.

In a 91-86 victory over Birmingham Southern, Williams totaled a team-high 26 points, the high-water mark by an Emory player so far this year, and chipped in a game-high seven assists and three steals. He ended the game 7-of-15 from the field and 11-of-12 from the charity stripe. He followed that performance by tying for team honors with 17 points, his fifth double-digit outing of the season, and added seven boards and five assists vs. Hampden-Sydney.

Through games played Dec. 3, Williams is averaging a team-high 17.0 points per game, good for the No. 6 spot on the UAA ladder.
