Lawrence Rowley

Junior Lawrence Rowley paced the Emory men's basketball team in field goal percentage and rebounding in a split of two games.

The 6-foot-5 Rowley shot 62.5 percent (10-of-16) from the floor and averaged 12.5 rebounds as the Eagles defeated UW-Oshkosh while coming up short against No. 21 Guilford at the Emory Holiday Classic. He tossed in 12.5 points over the two encounters, good for a third-place tie on the squad's score sheet.

In an 87-80 triumph over the Titans of Oshkosh, Rowley pulled down a career-high 16 caroms, tying the 15th-highest individual game total in school history, while his 11 points enabled him to chalk up his fourth double-double of the campaign. In a last-second 70-69 setback against Guilford, Rowley ranked as the Eagles' top board man for the sixth time this year with nine rebounds while his 14 points marked his ninth double-digit performance of the season.

Through games played Jan. 5, Rowley is No. 2 among UAA players in rebounding (9.3 rpg) and stands fourth in field goal percentage (.604, 58-of-96).
