Matthew Schner & Nick Stuck Land D3hoops.com All-Region Honors

Emory University men's basketball seniors Matthew Schner and Nick Stuck were recognized by D3hoops.com Tuesday morning by being named to the All-Region 6 Team.

The two Eagles were among 12 players honored on the All-Region team with Schner earning First Team honors and Stuck earning a spot on the Second Team. It is the second straight season Schner has landed on the region's First Team while this is the first career selection for Stuck.

Schner was one of five players on the First Team following his outstanding senior season where he ranked fifth in Division III in minutes per game at 38.0, 10th in Division III at 23.5 points per game, third in the country with 246 field goals made and was ranked inside the top-5 in the UAA in 20 different statistical categories. Previously this season he was named a 2022 Jostens Trophy finalist, CoSIDA Academic All-America First Team and was the UAA Player of the Year for a second time.

Stuck continued to be one of the top guards in the UAA as well as Division III during his senior campaign, finishing the season with career-highs across the board with 13.8 points per game, 5.8 assists per game and 4.2 rebounds per game. Stuck ended the season as the UAA leader and was 10th in the nation in Assist/Turnover ratio at 2.98, 19th in Division III in assists per game and third in the league and 53rd nationally with 35.3 minutes per game. He concluded his career ranked fourth all-time in program history with 438 assists.

By virtue of being named an All-Region selection, both players are now eligible to be chosen as a D3hoops.com All-American. The 2022 D3hoops.com All-America teams will be announced Saturday, March 19 prior to the start of the Division III national championship game.
