The list of accolades keeps coming for Emory University men's basketball senior Matthew Schner as he added more hardware to his impressive resume, earning Second Team All-America and First Team All-District honors this week as selected by the National Association of Basketball Coaches.

Following his selection to the All-District First Team on Tuesday, Schner was one of 30 players honored as NABC All-Americans as announced by the outlet Wednesday afternoon.

Schner is just the fourth player in Emory men's basketball history to be chosen as an All-American by any organization, joining Tim Garrett (1990), Jake Davis (2014) and Alex Foster (2015) and is just the third player to be named an All-American by the NABC, joining Garrett and Foster who were both picked to the organization's First Team during their respective seasons.

In addition, Schner becomes the fifth Eagle in team history to garner multiple All-District selections in a career as he previously was named to the All-District Team as a junior and is now just the second player ever to be named to the All-District First Team more than once, joining Garrett who was a four-time All-District honoree and a three-time First Team selection.

Schner continues to rack up national acclaim following one of the all-time great seasons in Emory men's basketball history. Already this week he has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America First Team, the Bevo Francis Award Top 25 Watch List, D3hoops.com's All-Region First Team and is currently under consideration for the prestigious Jostens Trophy which recognizes the top player in all of Division III. Earlier this month, he was named the UAA Player of the Year for the second straight season and earned his third consecutive All-UAA First Team selection.
