Men's Soccer Clashes with #11/14 Rochester in Regular Season Finale

The Emory University Men's Soccer team closes out the regular season on Saturday, November 3rd with a road clash against 11th-ranked University of Rochester, starting at 11:00 AM.

Emory Eagles (9-7-1, 0-6-0 UAA)

The Eagles are coming off a tough conference weekend against Carnegie Mellon and Case Western Reserve to fall to 9-7-1 overall on the year. Senior Moustafa Khattab leads the team with six goals and seven assists and ranks tied for fifth in the UAA with 19 points. Sophomore Cole Gallagher ranks third in the conference with 50 saves and is fifth with nine victories.

Head Coach Cory Greiner is 24-12-3 in his two seasons at the helm of the program and is assisted by Clayton Schmitt, Dan Klinect, Felipe Quintero and Steven Hobart.

#11/14 Rochester Yellowjackets (12-2-1, 3-2-1 UAA)

The Yellowjackets rebounded on Sunday with a win over CMU after falling in overtime to CWRU on Friday to improve to 12-2-1 overall and are ranked 11th in this week's United Soccer Coaches national rankings and 14th in D3Soccer.com. Bryce Ikeda has powered UofR this season, topping the team in both goals and assists, compiling five markets and six helpers for 16 points. Josh Cooley has also reached double figures for the Yellowjackets, posting five goals for 10 points. Goalkeeper Patrick Conway is 11-2-1 in his 15 starts, registering 44 saves and a 0.77 goals against average.

Rochester is under the leadership of long-time Head Coach Chris Apple, who has tallied an overall record of 218-65-50 in his 18 seasons with the team. He is joined on staff by Jack Burgasser, Brady Larkin, Kathryn Rowe, Jeff Oliver and Aleks Dombrowski.

All-Time Series Record

Emory holds the edge in the all-time series with a 17-11-3 record including a 3-1 mark over the past four contests and were 3-2 winners in overtime last season in Atlanta.
