Jones, Khattab, Santee Selected to Men's Soccer All-UAA Team

The Emory University Men's Soccer team placed three members on the All-University Athletic Association team as it was announced by the conference office Thursday afternoon. Junior William Jones headlined the Eagles with a Second Team selection while senior captains Moustafa Khattab and Tyler Santee were named Honorable Mentions.

Jones appeared in a personal-best 17 games, 16 starts, as he earned his first All-UAA selection. Jones finished the season with two assists for two points and was a valuable contributor for the Eagles in the midfield, helping Emory post a 1.07 goals against average while limiting opposing teams to an average of 4.83 shots on goal per game.

Khattab makes his third straight All-UAA team after leading the Eagles with six goals and seven assists for 19 points in 18 games played. Khattab finished the year tied for the conference lead in assists and recorded a team-leading three game-winning goals. He was named the UAA Offensive Athlete of the Week on September 3rd after he was named the MVP of the Sonny Carter Invitational Tournament.

Santee rounds out the Emory selections with his second straight All-UAA honor. Santee played in all 18 games, making all but one start as he anchored an Emory defense that allowed just 20 goals in 18 games, totaling six clean sheets on the season. Santee also contributed on the offensive side of the ball, recording two goals including the game-winner against Rutgers-Camden on September 9th.

The Eagles finished the season 9-7-2 overall, the team's 17th consecutive winning season.
