The Men's 800 Freestyle relay turned in a national runner-up performance as the 2019 NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships continued Friday night at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, NC.
The Eagles, trying to claim their first-ever national title in the event, held the lead heading into the final 25-yards but saw senior Trey Kolleck overtaken by Denison's Bradley Stevenson who managed to out-touch Kolleck at the walk denied Emory its third title of the 2019 Championship. Kolleck, along with classmates Thomas Gordon, Alex Kohlman and sophomore Kellen Stillman recorded a total time of 6:31.88 to finish in the silver position.
Emory, which sits third at 303.5 team points, heads into the final day of competition trailing first-place Denison (426.5) and Kenyon (347). Saturday's schedule of events features the 1,650 Freestyle, 100 Freestyle, 200 Backstroke, 200 Breaststroke, Men's 3-meter diving and the 400 Freestyle Relay.
