The Emory University men's swimming and diving team increased its lead Friday night after two event titles and nine All-UAA performances.

Through two days of competition, the Eagles now hold a 206 point lead over second place Chicago and have scored 1259.5 points across the championship meet. The Maroons stand in second at 1053.5 and WashU remaining in third at 885 points.

After ending Thursday night with back-to-back titles, Friday's final session began in similar fashion for the Eagles as Emory took home conference championships in the first two events contested.

The night led off with juniors Ryan Soh, Colin LaFave, sophomore Jake Meyer and senior Hwa Min Sim earning first place in the 200 Medley Relay, posting a winning time of 1:28.15 for Emory's fourth win in the event at the previous five UAA meets.

In the next event, senior Sean Byman and sophomore Ryan Gibbons went 1-2 in the 400 IM as both swimmers tallied their first All-UAA swim of their careers. Byman took gold with a winning time of 3:54.22 with Gibbons grabbing silver at 3:54.99.

The Eagles saw five more individual All-UAA performances as the night went on including three second place showings: Soh in the 100 Fly (48.30), junior Pat Pema in the 200 Free (1:37.68) and senior Jason Hamilton in the 100 Breast (54.44). To go along with the second place finishes, sophomore Nicholas Goudie and senior Tyler Russell earned third in two events with Goudie in the 200 Freestyle (1:38.36) and Russell in the 100 Breast (54.45).

Friday night concluded with Emory tallying its final All-UAA swim with the relay team of Pema, Goudie, sophomore Logan D'Amore and junior Willem Goedecke taking bronze in the 800 Freestyle with a time of 6:38.58.

Emory goes for its 23rd consecutive conference championship Saturday night as the final session features the 200 Backstroke, 100 Freestyle, 200 Breaststroke, 200 Butterfly, 1,650 Freestyle, 400 Freestyle Relay and the men's 1-meter diving.
