The Emory men's tennis program will bring home the ITA South Region doubles championship and claims three of the four spots in the semifinals of the Main Singles Draw following the second day of action at the event.  The ITA South Region Championships are being held at the Rome Tennis Center and hosted by Berry College.

Emory came through with another dominant performance on Saturday, with seniors Jonathan Jemison and Adrien Bouchet, along with freshman Andrew Esses, playing their way into the singles semifinals. Jemison opened with a 6-1, 6-1, triumph over Aditya Iyer of North Carolina before posting a similar result against senior teammate James Spaulding in the quarterfinals.  Spaulding earlier in the day battled to a 3-6, 7-5, 6-4, Round of 16 victory vs. Sewanee's Andres Carro.  Jemison's semifinal round match will see him go up against Ritwik Chatterjee of Rhodes College.  Bouchet will meet Esses in the bottom half of the semifinal bracket after each player captured two Saturday wins.  Esses rolled to a 6-3, 6-0, outcome vs. Nikita Revin of NC Wesleyan before topping junior teammate Rex Serituk in the quarterfinals. Serituk had advanced to the quarters after starting Saturday with a 6-3, 6-1 verdict over Covenant College's Logan Hull.  Bouchet landed his spot in the semifinals after subduing Brandon Kali from Sewanee, 7-5, 7-5, and sophomore teammate Hayden Cassone, 6-2, 6-2, in the quarters.  Sunday's singles action begins at 8:30 am with the championship match scheduled for 11:30 am.

It will be an all-Emory doubles final with Bouchet and Jemison squaring off against Spaulding and Cassone.  Bouchet and Jemison topped the Eagle tandem of Serituk and Alec Rabinowitz, 9-7, in the semis while Spaulding and Cassone bettered freshmen teammates Esses and Antonio Mora, 8-3. The doubles championship is scheduled for a 1:30 start on Sunday.

In B Flight action, freshman Connor Genschaw and Rabinowitz will meet in the singles final while Genschaw and sophomore Sahil Raina claimed the doubles title with an 8-3 triumph over Ryan Wax and Dane Hawthorne of Sewanee.
