Freshman Marc Goedemans headlined 14 Emory players at the three-day Grizzly Open at Georgia Gwinnett College as the newcomer captured the singles B draw title as he went 4-0 as the bracket's No. 1 seed. Goedemens advanced to the finals with wins over SCAD Atlanta (6-1, 6-2), teammate Ryan Glanville (4-6, 6-3, 10-7), North Carolina Wesleyan (6-4, 4-6, 10-7) before topping SCAD Savannah's Lopez Cruz in straight sets 7-6 (4), 7-5 in the finals.
