The Emory University men's tennis doubles team of senior Andrew Esses and sophomore Nolan Shah has advanced to the national quarterfinals at the NCAA Individual Championships late Friday afternoon at the UTSA National Campus in Orlando, FL.

Esses and Shah defeated their counterparts of Will Leach/Luke Lemaitre from George Fox in straight sets 6-2, 6-3 and will take on Trinity's Hao Nguyen/Christian Settles Saturday afternoon in round of eight. The Nguyen/Settles pairing is coming off an upset win over the No. 3 seed Stan Morris/David Vilys of Middlebury 6-4, 7-6 (1).

Saturday's quarterfinal match will take place following the conclusion of women's singles action but not before 3:00 PM.
