The Emory University Track & Field programs are back in action this weekend as the Eagles host the Emory Classic this Friday and Saturday, March 24th and 25th, at the Woodruff PE Center.

The meet is set to start at 2:00 PM on Friday with the field events, beginning with the men's and women's hammer throw. On Saturday, competition kicks off at 8:00 AM with the women's 5000m Run C-Section and will run throughout the day until the men's and women's 4x400m Relay at 3:55 PM and 4:20 PM. For the full schedule of events, please see the link at the top of the page.

The Eagles are coming off a strong showing last weekend with the Emory Invitational where the women finished fourth overall out of 35 schools while the men were seventh out of 33 teams. Sophomore Dani Bland and freshman Nyla Lindo collected University Athletic Association weekly honors following strong individual performances while the men's Distance Medley Relay team of Samuel Branson, Brandon Cromer, Michael McBane and Shane Sullivan broke the school record at 10:23.10.

On Saturday, Emory will recognize its senior class with a special on-field celebration. The senior class includes: Kelsey Abbott, Sophie Cemaj, Mia Eisenhandler, Michelle Kagei, Jeffrey Chen, Brandon Cromer, Austin Hunt, Michael McBane, Grant Murphy, Casey Rhode, Jake Schlessinger, Michael Sisario and Kyle Veator.

At last year's meet, Emory swept both the men's and women's competition with first place finishes.

Results will be posted on emoryathletics.com after each day of competition with a full recap of Emory performances to follow at the conclusion of the meet on Saturday.
