Emory Men's Track & Field Compete at Mountain Laurel Invitational

The Emory University Men's Track and Field team competed at the Mountain Laurel Invitational Friday evening at Sewanee University in the final meet before the University Athletic Association Championships. The Eagles came in sixth place with 45 points.

Junior Robert Wilhelm III recorded the team's lone event victory, taking first place in the 800m Run with a time of 1:57.37. Senior Brandon Cromer placed fifth in the event, finishing in a time of 1:59.77.

In the 1500m Run, the Eagles turned in three top-5 showings led by senior Michael McBane who came in third at 4:00.43. Classmate Grant Murphy was fourth at 4:04.78 while freshman Stephen Fedec came in fifth at 4:07.69.

Freshman Nathan Harper added a pair of third place efforts in the pole vault (3.66m) and 110m Hurdles (18.66). Junior Phil Edwards rounded out the scoring at the meet for the Eagles, finishing fifth in the 3000m Run in a time of 9:07.20.

Next up for Emory will be the UAA Outdoor Championships next weekend, April 22nd and 23rd, on the campus of the University of Chicago.
