Emory Track & Field Compete at Tufts Last Chance National Qualifier

The Emory University Track and Field teams competed at the Tufts Last Chance National Qualifier Saturday afternoon in the final tune up before next weekend's NCAA Division III Indoor Championships at North Central College in Naperville, IL.

On the men's side, juniors Shane Sullivan and Max Brown improved upon their season-best times in their respective events. Brown posted a third-place showing in the mile run, clocking in at 4:12.85 while Sullivan placed fifth in the 3000m Run, finishing in a time of 8:27.23.

Junior Benjamin Rogin added a third place effort in the 60m Hurdles for the Eagles, posting a time of 8.35 in the finals.

For the women, sophomore Dani Bland won the 60m Dash event with a time of 7.81 in the finals. She added a second place showing in the 200m Dash, posting a personal-best time of 25.41. Her 200m mark also represents the fifth-fastest time in the event in Emory women's indoor history.

The women's 4x400m Relay of sophomore Dilys Osei, freshman Kaitlyn Leonard, sophomore Ariana Newhouse and junior Erica Goldman rounded out competition for the Eagles at the meet, recording a season-best time of 3:55.46 to take second in the event.
